How to Download Mystery Gifts
It should perhaps go without saying, but those hoping to download Mystery Gifts in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are going to need an active internet connection. Assuming they have one, they should open up the menu by pressing the X button and then navigating to the Poke Portal. From here, it’s a simple case of selecting the “Mystery Gift” option from the bottom of the list and then choosing the distribution method that they require.
If they have a code, they’ll want to select “Get with Code/Password” and then input the code on the following screen. Anything else can be claimed simply by clicking on “Get via Internet.” Players can also see a list of every Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Mystery Gift that they’ve claimed so far by choosing the “Check Mystery Gifts” option. Unlike some of the other online functions in the Gen 9 games, players will not need a Nintendo Switch Online membership in order to claim Mystery Gifts.
