Request 11 has players maxing out Kricketot’s Pokedex entry. Kricketot is a pure Bug-type Pokemon that’s fortunately very common in the starting area of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. After starting Mission 5, players can find a young woman named Yeo at the Fieldlands Camp, who wants to learn more about Kricketot.

Catching Kricketot

Once players are able to cross the bridge from Aspiration Hill to Deertrack Heights, they’ll be able to catch many more Pokemon. One of these happens to be Kricketot. In order to reach Deertrack Heights, players will need to have started Mission 5, and defeated Mai’s Munchlax in a Pokemon battle. Kricketot can be found hiding in the patches of grass immediately past the bridge. Like Pikachu and Eevee, Kricketot has gender differences, but it won’t matter which one players end up catching first.

Since Kricketot is a skittish Pokemon, it may run away if players move too fast or engage it in battle. The easiest way to catch it is to distract it with food (like an Oran Berry) and throw a Poke Ball or Heavy Ball while it’s eating.

Completing Kricketot’s Pokedex Entry

Players have multiple ways of completing Kricketot’s entry. They don’t have to catch one if they don’t want to but considering the final Mission of Legends: Arceus involves catching all the Pokemon in Hisui, it may be best to catch it anyway.

On a Pokemon’s Research Tasks page, players will notice some are marked with a red/white arrow. These are referred to as “Bonus Research Points”, and instead of adding one point towards the Research Level, they’ll give two points instead.

With Kricketot, players will get “two Research Level points” each time they meet a milestone in the “Number caught” task. Compare this to “Number defeated,” which does not have the red/white arrow. Players will also get two points for evolving Kricketot into Kricketune. For reference, Kricketot evolves at level 10.

Thus, the quickest way to get Kricketot’s Research Level to 10 is to do the following Research Tasks:
