In total, there are 242 Pokemon available in Pokemon Legends: Arceus; the lowest number since the release of the Gen 1 games more than a quarter of a century ago. What’s more, two of these can only be caught if players have save data from previous Pokemon games on their Switch, while another eight can only be obtained via trading or evolution. The other 232 can all be caught out in the wild though and their exact locations can be found below.

Space-Time Distortions are one of several frustrating mechanics found in the open-world adventure, with these interdimensional rifts seldom showing up when players need them most. This isn’t too bad at first, but for those hoping to find and catch every Pokemon in the Hisui Pokedex, it can become incredibly annoying later on. This is because there are a handful of Pokemon that can only be encountered inside Space-Time Distortions, much to the ire of many players. To combat this potentially problematic pitfall, this guide has been updated to include a new section dedicated to Space-Time Distortions and the Pokemon that can be found in them. Given how many Pokemon are in Legends: Arceus, knowing which are exclusive to distortions and which can be obtained elsewhere should make life a lot easier for players.

Space-Time Distortions

In total, there are 69 Pokemon that can be encountered inside Space-Time Distortions across the five areas of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Of these 69, 31 can only be caught inside Space-Time Distortions, though, thankfully, the majority of these can also be obtained through evolution. In fact, there are only actually five Pokemon that players will need to catch in Space-Time Distortions if they’re to complete their Pokedex without trading; these being Cranidos, Johtonian Sneasel, Magneton, Porygon, and Shieldon. Strictly speaking, players could catch themselves a Weavile instead of a Johtonian Sneasel and still complete the dex.
