When it comes to facing off against a Legendary like Yveltal in the mobile AR game, that means figuring out and taking advantage of its weaknesses. Luckily, in this case there are quite a few weaknesses to exploit thanks to the boss’ unique dual type pairing. Pokemon GO players may have a lot of strong counter options, but they’ll still want to take some time ahead of the big fight to properly prepare for the battle ahead.

Since Yveltal is weak to four different types, hopefully most players will be able to string together a solid counter roster before heading into any Battle Raid lobbies. Keep in mind that it may be a smart idea to expend some resources (Stardust, Elite TMs, and Candy) to power up each counter Pokemon and ensure that they have an optimal move set for the big fight. Players may be able to get around this step if they plan to enter the Battle Raid with a large group, but not if they want to hit the top of the DPS chart and earn some extra balls for the reward encounter…
