The APK teardown for update 0.175.0 includes a lot. There are bug fixes, updates to Friend functionality, and even the bones for what will likely become a Remote Raid invite system so that Pokemon GO friends can raid alongside each other. All that said, the part of the code that touches on the Galar region creatures is probably the most exciting.

Most players are currently looking to the past by completing the Throwback 2020 Special Research and earning some exciting encounter rewards with tons of Pokemon from the series’ first three generations. Although Pokemon GO may only be up to generation four in its slow rollout of the entire global Pokedex, there have been a few Gen eight appearances already to help celebrate the announcement and launch of Pokemon Sword and Shield. Some addition Galar love is on the way with new code setting the stage for the release of three new Pokemon and a whole bunch of new forms…

Keep in mind that this code is just setting the stage to add all of these things to the came and doesn’t necessarily mean players will be able to set out and find them as soon as the update is downloaded. There’s a lot of other exciting code included in the APK teardown, so we’re looking forward to reading through the official patch notes when they release and seeing what new features or improvements have actually gone live.
For now, players may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
