Over the course of the event, Pokemon GO trainers should focus on completing the timed tasks and challenges, like the Unova Collection Challenge, and attempt to fill in any empty spots in their Pokedex from the Unova region. In order to accomplish that feat, players may need to get some counter rosters ready and head into a Battle Raid or two over the next few days.

The established lineup of January 2021 Battle Raid bosses will be getting a bit of a shakeup to temporarily make room for new Unova Battle Raid bosses at every tier. That means there will be lots of new Battle Raids to keep an eye out for and players will want to make sure they know exactly which bosses are available before they start burning through Raid Passes.
With that in mind, here are all of the confirmed Raid Bosses associated with the Unova Celebration event…
One-star raids
Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Timburr, Dwebble, and Klink will be appearing in one-star raids.
Three-star raids
Herdier, Tranquill, Excadrill, and Amoonguss will be appearing in three-star raids.
Five-star raids
Genesect holding a Burn Drive will be appearing in five-star raids. This will be the first time this form of Genesect will be appearing in Pokémon GO, so be sure to catch it while you have the chance! Note that the Shiny form of this Genesect will not be available during this event.
Mega Raids
Mega Charizard Y, Mega Blastoise, and Mega Abomasnow will be appearing in Mega Raids, with Mega Charizard Y becoming even more powerful from Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. through Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Even if players already have all of those Pokedex entries filled in, these Battle Raids are still bringing a lot of power to the table and will likely be very popular. Genesect with Burn Drive in particular will probably be very strong motivation to get players out and spending Raid Passes this week.
As trainers continue working through these amazing events and enjoying the new era of the GO Beyond update, they may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters and completing their Pokedex is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
