Although a lot of the attention will be on the Special Research that is launching as part of the event, that isn’t all there is to get excited about. Sure, Shiny Celebi is likely the most exciting addition during the event, but it’s not the only shiny being added to the game this week. In addition, players will also get their first chance to catch shiny Adventure Hat Pikachu, shiny Rufflet, and shiny Braviary. There are also a handful of other powerful and exciting Pokemon featured as increased spawns or special Egg hatches throughout the latest Pokemon GO event.

Lots of the increased spawns and special Egg hatches actually have a chance to be shiny as well, so this event has the chance to be particularly popular with collectors and completionists who happen to have a personal goal to catch all of the most rare Pokemon in Pokemon GO. Even for players aren’t constantly on the shiny hunt though, there are still some powerful and exciting Pokemon up for grabs this week that can help them earn the Candy they need to unlock some new Pokedex entries with a couple of evolutions. Here is a list of all of the featured Pokemon that players should keep an eye out for throughout the big event…

Event specific Egg hatches have caused their fair sure of drama in the past, so it will be interesting to see what the hatch rate and shiny chances are with Rufflet in particular. Players will likely need to burn through a lot of Egg Incubators and spend a lot of time walking around in order to optimize chances of lucking into an encounter with the new shiny Pokemon.
As trainers continue working through these amazing events and enjoying the early days of the GO Beyond update, they may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters and completing their Pokedex is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
