The Marill Limited Research event arrives at the end of this week and players will have most of the day Sunday to enjoy the features and earn as many Marill encounters as possible throughout the day. Limited Research events are still a fairly new activity in the game, but at this point Pokemon GO players should know what to expect from one of the events.

Limited Research events aren’t quite as robust and engaging as a Community Day, but they are a nice way to highlight an additional Pokemon each month. Marill isn’t a particularly relevant Pokemon in the PoGO PvE meta game, but some players can get creative and work it into the occasional PvP roster. Regardless of meta relevance or popularity, the event’s tasks are usually simple enough that most players will complete them passively just by playing during the event time frame anyway.

Trainers should definitely head back closer to the event’s start date for a full confirmed list of the tasks that will be includes as part of the event-exclusive timed research. Recent Limited Research events offer a pretty good idea of what might be included, but things could always change this time around, so be sure to continue researching closer to Sunday.
Over the next week or so players should begin to learn a lot more about what other events are on the way during the finals days of the Season of Legends. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
