The Pokemon GO June 2022 Community Day event will take place on Saturday, June 25 from 11:00am to 2:00pm local time. During the event, Pokemon GO players will have the chance to add the Irate Pokemon Deino to their collection. As always, Deino spawns will be drastically increased while the Pokemon GO Community Day event is live, with players having a much greater chance of snagging a shiny Deino for their collection.

Besides catching a shiny Deino, the Pokemon GO June 2022 Community Day will also give players the chance to get a Hydreigon with a special attack. First Pokemon GO players will need to evolve Deino into Zweilous, and then they will need to evolve Zweilous into Hydreigon. If done while the event is still active, Pokemon GO players will get a Hydreigon with the special Charged Attack Brutal Swing, which is a Dark-type move that dishes out 65 power in trainer battles, gyms, and raids.

While Pokemon GO players are out catching as many Deino as possible, there are other bonuses they can enjoy. This includes 1/4 hatch distance for Pokemon GO eggs, double the chances to receive Deino Candy XL, double candy for catching Pokemon, Lure Modules that last three hours, incense that lasts three hours, and more. However, there is one bizarre restriction that has some Pokemon GO fans scratching their heads.

From 2:00pm to 7:00pm local time on the same day as Deino Community Day, Pokemon GO players will be able to battle Zweilous in raids. Defeating Zweilous in a raid will make more Deino spawn in the immediate vicinity for half an hour. While that’s all fine and good, Pokemon GO players can only use Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes to participate in these raids; for some unknown reason, Niantic has made it so fans won’t be able to use Remote Raid Passes when doing these raids.

This effectively makes the Zweilous raids pointless for Pokemon GO players who live in rural areas or are otherwise unable to play in an in-person group, and it seems like a needless restriction. The bright side is that there should be so many Deino spawning while the Community Day is live that Pokemon GO players should still be able to get plenty of Zweilous with little difficulty.
