One of the Team GO Rocket admins to have an updated party for Pokemon GO Fest 2020 is Arlo, a trainer specializing in steel-type Pokemon. Defeating him allows players to attempt to catch a shadow Mawile, which has the chance to be shiny.

Unlike Arlo’s previous party, there is only one combination of Pokemon that he will have in his party. This makes it far easier to plan around his team without worrying about a surprise Blastoise to ruin everything.
The first Pokemon that Arlo will send out is Mawile, a dual steel and fairy-type Pokemon. Mawile is weak to fire-type and ground-type moves. However, players should prioritize having fire-type Pokemon instead of ground-types due to the Pokemon that come after Mawile.
Arlo’s second Pokemon is Scizor, a dual bug and steel-type that is only weak to fire-type moves. This is the time for players to bring out a Pokemon with strong fire type moves if they haven’t already.
The final Pokemon is from outside of Arlo’s usual type preference- the legendary bird, Moltres. Fitting with it not matching the other members of Arlo’s party is it not sharing any weaknesses with Scizor or Mawile. However, it has more weaknesses than both of them combined. They are:
Rock Water Electric
With these Pokemon in mind, here are the best Pokemon to bring along to fight Arlo:
Reshiram - Fire Fang and Overheat Darmanitan (Zen) - Fire Fang and Overheat Entei - Fire Fang and Overheat Volcarona - Fire Spin and Overheat Rhyperior - Smack Down and Rock Wrecker Rampardos - Smack Down and Rock Slide Tyranitar - Smack Down and Stone Edge Palkia - Dragon Tail and Hydro Pump Kyogre - Waterfall and Surf Swampert - Water Gun and Hydro Cannon Zekrom - Charge Beam and Wild Charge Electivire - Thunder Shock and Wild Charge Raikou - Volt Switch and Wild Charge
If players lose to Arlo, there is no real penalty and they will be able to keep fighting him for as long as they have Pokemon remaining. Players are additionally free to use potions and revives on their Pokemon in between different battles, allowing them to have fresh starts when starting a battle with him.
Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
