The Colossal Discovery Special Research offered players (who were willing to pay the event entry fee) an encounter with Regigigas if they managed to finish all of the tasks, but aside from that the Pokemon GO Legendary hasn’t been available in the game yet. That’s about to change for players who received an EX Raid invite on November 9…

According to the latest information, it sounds like Regigigas will be taking over the EX Raid scene starting today and sticking around until January 7, 2020. That means players who want to obtain the new Legendary should take a break from hunting down the most powerful Unova region Pokemon and start raiding at EX locations and trying to secure an invite as soon as possible.
Players should also keep in mind that it’s possible to secure an invite from a friend in the game, as well. Each person who received an EX Raid invite has the chance to invite one in-game friend along for the adventure. Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity while Regigigas is around.
