Obviously the biggest event coming to the mobile AR game this summer is Pokemon GO Fest 2020, but that’s not the only thing to be excited about. There have been some major hints about new Pokemon arriving in Pokemon GO in the coming months and the new datamine throws some more fuel on the fires of that rumor. Whether the new Pokemon and forms will arrive as a part of GO Fest 2020 or later during a different event is still a mystery, but the newest image does tease some exciting new Pokedex entries.

Some lucky players may already have one of these Pokemon in their collection, but for the most part any of these creatures would be new for players. As always, keep in mind that everything uncovered in the datamine is still subject to change and has not been officially announced or confirmed by Niantic at this point. With that in mind, here’s a look at what the latest crawl of the master file revealed…

New Pokemon Spotted in Loading Screen Image

Much like the key art for Pokemon GO Fest 2020, the new summer loading screen that was spotted in the files includes some hidden hints about new arrivals in the game. In addition to a very stealthy Mega Charizard X, there are four other (mostly) new Gen V Pokemon who make an appearance in the art. Some are very hard to see, so be sure to take a close look.

In addition to the new loading screen, the datamine went on to include a bunch of updates and prep work for upcoming events or releases. Mixed in with everything else was also some code that seems to be laying the groundwork to release addition Galarian form Pokemon in the mobile game.

As trainers continue working through all of these amazing events, they may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters and completing their Pokedex is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
