Pokemon GO players will now discover shiny murkrow in the wild. Although murkrow isn’t the most exciting monster to come across, the possibility of getting a shiny one may give players a newfound interest in the common creature.
The shiny variant has a nice purple coloring and it’s confirmed that he is not an April Fool’s joke. Or, if he is a joke, that’s not stopping him from actually appearing in the game for the time being. Here’s a look at the new shiny…
Shiny pokemon aren’t functionally different from regular pokemon, but the collectors in the community love to hunt them down and show them off. They make for a fun little treasure hunt and are one of the main reason so many players go crazy for the Community Day events.
As far as we know, the shiny murkrow isn’t just a limited time spawn, but that is possible. We’ll keep an eye out for sightings and post an update if it seems like the variant has disappeared. Until then, we recommend getting out there and catching as many as possible while we know he’s here.
