Pokemon GO’s gradual rollout of Gen-3 has been a great way to keep players coming back for more of the game every month. If all of the new Pokemon had arrived at once, the hardcore players likely would have hunted them all down within the first few weeks. This approach allows Niantic to pull players back into the game month after month, during a season when the game is usually losing players.
The next addition begins tomorrow and will bring a swarm of Dragon- and Flying-Type Pokemon into the game…
The limited time wild encounters event should give players a good chance to roundup a bunch of the Gen-3 Pokemon that may have alluded them so far. If your Pokedex is lacking, be sure to get out there on the 13th and do what you can to fill in those Gen-3 spots.
Good luck out there, trainers!
Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
