According to Niantic, the Pokemon GO Valentine’s Day Celebration for 2019 officially began on February 13 at 1:00 PM PST, and features a bevy of different pink Pocket Monsters, with the likes of Clefairy, Hoppip, and Luvdisc having their spawn rates increased to appear more frequently in the wild. What’s more is that certain pink Pokemon will hatch more frequently from 7 km Eggs, and pink Pokemon such as Chansey and Porygon will show up more frequently in Raid Battles....

While we’ve covered some of Hanke’s comments previously, like the addition of new Pokémon generations to the game and confirmation that there are still some Easter Eggs left in the game, there is one issue left uncovered: gym poaching. Gym poaching is something that Hanke seemed relatively unaware of, or at least he appeared not to be familiar with the act, but once the problem was brought to his attention, the Niantic CEO promised to introduce ways to combat the problem....

Pokemon Sword and Shield players had their first chance to encounter the mythical Zeraora in Max Raids earlier this month, from June 17 - June 28. Trainers did not have the option of capturing the electric mythical upon defeat (much like Mewtwo this Spring,) but there was certainly no lack of incentive: if players managed to team up and defeat more than 1,000,000 Zeraora before June 28th, then all players would automatically become eligible to receive a Shiny Zeraora through Pokemon Home....

Inoue will be voicing Sonia in the Japanese-dubbed episodes. Who will be voicing her in the English-dubbed version is yet to be announced, though some big news recently dropped regarding the “World Championships” name in the English-dub. “Eerie Apparitions in the Night” begins with a short cutscene introducing players to Vessa, a mysterious young girl found in Jubilife Village. Vessa will tell them about a seal that was recently broken, releasing 107 wisps, and ask the player to collect them. She will give them the Odd Keystone item to allow them to collect the wisps. According to Game Informer, players will obtain a “special” Pokemon in Pokemon GO by connecting Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee with the mobile game. This special Pokemon is completely brand new, and will be the first Pokemon to make its franchise debut in Pokemon GO instead of a core game. Since the Pokemon GO integration in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee lets players transfer Pokemon, one has to imagine that the new creature will appear in the Switch titles as well as Pokemon GO, but that has yet to be confirmed....

In the third, fourth, and fifth generations of Pokemon, players who chose Torchic, Chimchar, or Tepig as their starter would be left with rather interesting options around the middle point of the games. All of these Pokemon would evolve into a Fire/Fighting-type at the end of their evolutionary line. Due to how some fans choose one starter type in every new release out of loyalty, players who have dealt with all three have had to support their choice the same way across three new titles in a row....

Shiny pokemon don’t have any special abilities or stats and are only aesthetically different. Pokemon GO players still love the thrill of chasing them down during Community Days and special events and acquiring one (or three if you’re hardcore) copies of each shiny is a major goal for many players. For trainers who want to double check their collection and see how close they are, here’s an updated graphic featuring every shiny that has been released in the game....

In Pokemon GO, players are able to feed berries to Pokemon at gyms controlled by their team. This will restore some of that Pokemon’s health, raise their CP, and reward players with a small amount of stardust. However, there is also a 1 in 85 chance that feeding a berry to a Pokemon in a gym will get players that Pokemon’s candy, meaning that this is yet another way to farm for Magikarp candy in Pokemon GO....

Palkia will be available in Pokemon GO legendary raids from January 29 at 1:00pm PST until February 28 at 1:00pm PST. This means that Pokemon GO players can add Palkia to their collection as early as tomorrow, which should help them better fill out their Gen 4 Pokedex. Of course, even with Palkia added to the mix, there’s still plenty of missing Gen 4 Pokemon. Niantic has been slower with introducing new Gen 4 Pokemon, adding just a handful of the creatures to the game at a time....

The datamine included some incredibly exciting news about a new way to catch Pokemon, more information about upcoming Gen 3 arrivals, and an early look at some holiday gift boxes that will likely be added to the game in the next week, or so. There was no information about what each box will contain or how players can acquire them, but the data did include assets of what each wrapped gift looks like....

As reported by Pokemon GO Hub, Pokemon GO will be adding shiny Vullaby to the game at 12:00am local time on Tuesday, November 9, and of course, that will include the shiny version of its evolved form, Mandibuzz, as well. Vullaby is the Pokemon GO Field Research breakthrough reward for November 2021, so players will have a chance to get a shiny Vullaby through that or by completing new Field Research tasks that have Vullaby as the reward....

Pokemon GO players who have less than 10 Lucky Pokemon can trade a Pokemon that has been in their storage since July or August 2016, and it will be a guaranteed lucky Pokemon. To sweeten the pot further, Niantic is making lucky Pokemon stronger, giving players even more reason to trade Pokemon with friends. Fans waited years for Pokemon trading to be added to Pokemon GO, but it seems as though the feature was worth the wait....

Today, Pokemon GO developer Niantic announced the game’s Equinox 2017 event. It is the “perfect time to celebrate the coming equinox,” according to the developer, confirming that the event will begin on September 22 at 1PM PDT and will end on October 2 at 1PM PDT. During this time, players will be able to earn double Stardust for catching Pokemon and hatching Pokemon eggs. Niantic also encourages players to head to their local Gyms and PokeStops to pick up 2KM eggs, which offer the opportunity to hatch Chansey, Larvitar, Mareep and “more....

The datamine comes from reliable Pokemon GO source Chrales and details upcoming Research Tasks for Raid Week 2019 in addition to three new items. The new items seem to be variations of the existing lure module that are made to specific types of Pokemon. In addition to drawing in those Pokemon, the lures apparently can also cause some Pokemon to evolve. The three lures are Glacial, Magnetic, and Mossy; so trainers are already losing their minds with excitement at the possibility of Pokemon like Glaceon or Leafeon finally being available....

The studio just announced its next game, a new AR pet simulator called Peridot. And while Niantic isn’t wrong to call it an “original” game, Pokemon GO appears to have at least slightly influenced Peridot.
