While in the mainline games, players can use different items on certain Pokemon to change their forms, Pokemon GO previously circumvented this by simply releasing the creatures in their different forms at separate times. For example, the game first gave players the chance to raid battle and capture Giratina in its Altered Forme in 2018, and later introduced the Origin Forme version to raid battles in 2019. But now, it seems that Pokemon GO may change that method....

Pokemon GO encourages players to walk around and explore, placing PokeStops in parks and other landmarks that players can spin to earn items like berries, stickers, and gifts. They can also place lures in order to catch Pokemon, making PokeStops areas where many people are likely to walk by and find the surprise. Pokemon GO has a large community that has grown since its launch in 2016. Though the app experienced fewer downloads in 2022 than the previous year, Pokemon GO averaged nearly 80 million monthly players....

Galarian Meowth is a Steel-type Pokemon that appears to have a very fluffy body reminiscent of a long-haired cat or a real-life Persian kitty. However, the Pokemon also features a pair of small horns on its crest, longer claws than the main version of Meowth, and a leering grin that gives it an air of menace. Between these features and the new evolution Perrserker, which gains a sword, it appears that Galarian Meowth is based on the aesthetics of the Vikings....

Some players may transfer or trade the Dratini, but they should actually hang on to it. Not only is Dratini a rare Pokemon, but Pokemon GO players need one to complete the second set of objectives for the Jump Start Special Research. In fact, the second set of Jump Start Special Research tasks are all about Dratini, with players having to evolve a Dratini and take a snapshot of Dratini....

Players can now reap all the rewards of the Bronze tier, which includes double XP, six-hour lure modules, and “more Pokemon” that will appear globally. The news was announced through the official Pokemon GO Twitter account, where it was paired with a short video that summarized the achievement. The Bronze tier is the first of three, followed by the Silver, and then Gold tier. Players can unlock these after completing certain milestones that are part of the Pokemon GO Global Catch Challenge, which began a couple days ago....

Over the course of the event, Pokemon GO trainers should focus on completing the timed tasks and challenges, like the Unova Collection Challenge, and attempt to fill in any empty spots in their Pokedex from the Unova region. After speaking to her, she will leave to a different area, and players just need to follow the marker until she flies over to the Snowpoint Temple. Before she gives players access to the flying Ride Pokemon, they’ll need to go through the temple, solve the stone statues’ puzzles, and get to the top floor....

Pokemon Legends: Arceus abandons the Random Encounter system and instead requires trainers to walk up to the Pokemon for battling or catching. Like all Wild Pokemon, there are common and rare types of Pokemon. Common Pokemon are everywhere and don’t take long to find. Pokemon Legends: Arceus provides players a real-time component to capturing Pokemon, with a more Monster Hunter-esque approach to its gameplay structure. Players can now capture Pokemon in more open world areas, with plenty of ways for trainers to explore and travel. This even extends to how players can traverse the world, where they can plan out how to get from one area to the next in order to get a certain wild Pokemon....

While there were many changes added that were unprecedented for the series, such as how Pokemon Legends: Arceus changes trade evolutions, other additions were smaller yet still praised by players. One of these features was the creation of brand-new forms for the legendary Sinnoh duo Dialga and Palkia, who both received heavily warped origin forms comparable to Giratina’s. Pokemon GO will slowly roll out all of the Gen V Pokemon, but it’s not too early to start planning optimal battle rosters and movesets for when the heavy hitters arrive. Now that the possible moves are in the game’s code, it is a lot easier to figure out which Pokemon are going to be the strongest over the next year or so of the mobile game’s PvE scene....

In addition to more groundwork for the coming enhancements to Pokemon GO’s AR system, this datamine also introduced a ton of code related to a new Stickers system. Like the community day last month, the event focuses on a specific Pokémon with a special move. However, “day” is a bit of a strong word, as the event only lasts a couple hours. The Charge-Up event will be a close follow-up to another early March event, Searching for Legends, which ended yesterday and gave players the chance to catch extra Ground, Rock, and Steel-type Pokemon as well as find a shiny Nosepass.
