Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem — the faces of Pokemon Black, White, and their sequels respectively — will be making their way to Pokemon GO as five-star raid battles in the near future according to a news post put out by the developers today. As seen in the tweet below from the official Pokemon GO Twitter account, Niantic asks fans, “Are you ready?” and states that Trainer Battles will be coming to the wildly successful mobile ARG “soon”. Unfortunately, though, the company didn’t offer up an exact release date for the PvP feature, but considering how speedy its patches have been following announcements of some updates in the past, there’s a good chance it could come as early as next week....

While there is no direct confirmation from Niantic on when or how these new pokemon will be implemented into the game, the information comes from a well known dataminer named Chrales, who often leaks news on Pokemon GO HUB. Chrales accurately leaked information on the return of this year’s Eggstravaganza event shortly before it was officially announced, and now more information is being revealed, but this time regarding shiny Pokemon....

Pokemon GO Community Day takes place on November 12 from 2pm to 5pm local time, with the event featuring bonus catch stardust, catch candy, and XL Candy, as well as 3 hour-long Incense and Lure Modules. Players will also be able to purchase a Special Research ticket for “A Sweet Snack,” while Ursaring will appear in 4-star Raid Battles from 5 pm to 10pm. Defeating it will lead to more Teddiursas spawning around that gym....

Players in Korea definitely have a lot to look forward to, though, with the promise of increased spawns and unique Pokemon as part of its Safari Event. Players in the region will also have another chance at the Legendary birds, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos. These events are slowly rolling out to the Pokemon GO community, but many regions are still waiting for their turn. While this may be a case of Pokemon GO jealousy, especially considering the Halloween event is about to end, there is reason for players to be disappointed....

As seen in the tweet below from the prolific Pokemon GO dataminer known simply as “Chrales”, a particular game file updated in the title reads “badge_pokedex_entries_gen4_title : “Sinnoh”, indicating that Gen 4 favorites like the Water-type Piplup, Grass-type Turtwig, Fire-type Chimcha, and much more could be added soon. After all, “Sinnoh” is the setting used in the fourth generation titles of Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. As previously mentioned, this is simply the latest piece of evidence for players to add to the pile that Niantic plans to bring Gen 4 creatures into Pokemon GO at some point down the line, as the company’s CEO and the game’s creator, John Hanke, has already confirmed that they’re in the works and on the way....

Pokemon GO’s next update will add a starter exclusive move, with its sound effects and animations, to the game. Fans of the franchise will recognize this move as Hydro Cannon, which was first introduced in generation 3 as a move that could only be learned by a fully evolved Water-type starter such as Feraligatr. However, in this particular case, it would appear this move was added for Squirtle’s final form, Blastoise....

Niantic has released the details for the upcoming month of Pokemon GO events, and it’s set to include a new rotation of Pokemon to challenge in Raid Battles, alongside special new Pokemon Spotlight Hours, and a new Research Breakthrough Reward for November. The five-star Legendary Raid will change every week of November, with a weekly Legendary Raid Hour occurring every Wednesday at 6 PM (local time). The petition was created by Randy Khoo, a Pokemon GO player out of Kuala Lumpur, who has had it with the way the game chooses its EX Raid participants. According to Khoo, the EX Raid system has, “failed to be an inclusive part of the Pokemon Go game mechanics.” He says that players more deserving of an invite have been passed over in favor of those with multiple accounts and spoofers....
