Pinap Berries were added to the game in the recent Gen 2 update, and are designed to double the amount of candies awarded for successfully capturing a Pokemon. However, players have noticed that capturing a Pokemon that’s under the effect of a Pinap Berry seems to still award the standard amount of candy. According to Niantic, Pokemon GO players who use a Pinap Berry prior to capturing a Pokemon will be awarded the correct amount of candy....
The artwork depicts Giovanni and his henchmen standing in front of the Viridian City Gym, with the Pokemon GO developers having done a fairly faithful recreation of the recognizable structure from the anime’s first season. Pokemon GO developer Niantic knows this, too, and today, the company announced an official photo contest that gives players the chance to get their hands on a collection of prizes. Beginning today and running until 11:59PM PDT on October 25, Pokemon GO players are challenged to take the best photos that they can, using the game’s AR (augmented reality) technology. The example offered by Niantic shows a lone Pokemon standing on a fence in front of a beautiful scenic background, though presumably, images with multiple Pokemon are eligible, too....

Once the player speaks to her, she’ll tell them that she needs a Croagunk so that she can make medicine from its poison....

It’s important to note that this deal is only good on the Eevee edition of the game. Eggs can hatch different Pokemon based on the distance it takes to hatch them and what events or season is currently underway. Niantic added the ability to sort friends by the choices below: Name A-Z Nickname A-Z Friendship Level Gift Sorting by Name A-Z arranges all friends by their Trainer name in alphanumeric order, but Trainers can also now create nicknames for friends and sort them alphanumerically by that. Prioritizing friends becomes easier with this feature, as they can be numbered or somehow marked to appear at the top of the list....
For the first time in Pokemon GO, Community Day will put an Unova-region Pokemon into the spotlight. This marks the beginning of a new era and opens up some exciting follow up events that may appear during the rest of the year. The official announcement about September’s Community Day comes from Pokemon GO Live and confirms that September 22 will be a Chikorita Community Day in Pokemon GO. And, yes, you read that correctly. Just one day. After August featured a two-day Community Day event, many players were hoping that trend would continue into the future. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case. There’s a chance Niantic will announce an extension in the coming weeks, but for now it looks like players are back to the three hour Community Day grind....
The mayor has written a formal decree to Pokemon GO developer Niantic requesting that all Gyms, PokeStops, and Pokemon themselves be removed from anywhere within the border of Bressolles, meaning those inside the town still playing the application better get themselves an escape rope pronto if they hope to continue their quest to become a Pokemon Master.
